I have been a Licensed Nail Technician since January 2005, take great pride in my work, and consider it an art. Most of those years were spent in upscale spas and salons in Napa Valley being trained and mentored by the best of the best in Napa, and I feel my work speaks for itself. Each and every client gets a new file, and implements are always meticulously disinfected after each client; following California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology guidelines and regulations. Your health, safety, and comfort are my top priority! I also use 100% Certified Organic & Gluten Free creams and scrubs, made by a local WAHM.

 

Furthermore, I never use any tool that cuts or breaks the skin, as these are dangerous and can do serious damage. Instead, I use up to date and State Board approved pedicure files and implements. Rather than use an electric file or drill on your nails, my preference is to use a hand file. While hand-filing could cause damage, I make sure to take the utmost care, using a light touch, and never file your delicate skin. In addition, I have been trained to properly use the electric file, and will use it if the need arises. My clients thank me with a huge sigh of relief and a smile.

Policies:



 

- What You Should Expect -
  • Courtesy and professional service at every visit.
  • Treatments are done in a timely manner, allowing you time to relax and unwind, without feeling rushed.
  • ALL instruments are properly disinfected after each and every guest, and stored properly; all following California State Board Rules and Regulations. 
  • A brand new file for each guest. 
  • 100% Certified Organic & Gluten Free creams and scrubs, made by a local WAHM.

As a courtesy to other guests and to ensure that my schedule runs smoothly for everyone, please respect the following policies:
 
 
 
 
- Walk-ins Welcome, Appointments Encouraged! -
This ensures that you will be able to get in with me without waiting. Appointments can be made online at: https://www.styleseat.com/NailsByCaroline
 
 
- Arrive about 5-10mins early -
so you have time to fill out a Guest Card. This is so I may give you the best service possible, as well as keep you up-to-date on specials and salon happenings.
 
 
- Late Arrivals -
Appts will be held for 15mins. After this grace period I will consider you as a NO SHOW, and the appt may be given away.  Please note that your tardiness will determine the length of your treatment, and you will be responsible for the FULL service price. Your service will end accordingly so that the next guest is not delayed.
 
 
- NO SHOWS -
If you miss an appt that you didn't cancel with 24hr notice, and didn't show up for, I reserve the right to charge a $15 service fee in addition to requiring a non-refundable deposit on your next appointment. This policy also applies to same-day-appointments.
 
- Avoid Shaving Your Legs -
at least 24hrs before your pedicure, as this will reduce irritation. Please bring open-toe shoes for after your treatment!
 
 
- Services will not be performed if you have ANY of the following:
  • Open cuts/sores on the treatment area.
  • Signs of a nail infection, fungus, or wart, without the written concent of a licensed podiatrist.
  • If you have a cold/flu or other contagious disease.
If you are unsure, please contact me at least 12hrs before your appt, and I will let you know if the service can legally and safely be performed.
 
 
- Children -
I love to do childrens nails! However, unattended children in the salon are disruptive and dangerous. We have many products that are harmful if injested or applied to unprotected skin. If you have children under 10 who are not receiving nail services, please keep them safe and leave them at home with a sitter.
 
 
- Cell Phones -
Please be respectful of the guests around you who are trying to relax during their services. Set your phone on vibrate, and use a moderate speaking voice if you need to take a call. HANDS FREE devices are strongly encouraged so you don't contaminate your nails with oils, and please refrain from playing on your phones/devices during your treatment time. Additionally, pay attention to what I am doing, so I don't have to repeatedly wait for your hands to come unglued from the phone, ultimately slowing down the service.
 
 
- Payment -
  • Cash!
  • Credit cards.
  • Checks are to be made payable to myself. A $25 fee is applied to ALL returned checks, NO exceptions!
Be sure you have your payment with you when you come into the salon, as you will not be allowed to "run to the car" after the service is performed. 
 
 
- Gratuities -
Never expected, but always appreciated! (15-20% of the service price is customary)
 
 
- BE ADVISED -
My prices are not negotiable, and payment must be made at time of service. NO exceptions! 
 
 
- Refunds -
If you are not happy with your nails, please make me aware of it before you pay! I am happy to adjust them to your satisfaction. Absolutely NO refunds will be given after you have left the salon.
 
 
- Repairs -
Acrylics are guarenteed for 4 days after service; excluding breaks. If you lose an enhancement, or notice chips or lifting in the first 4 days, please call me to schedule a free repair. Repairs AFTER the 4 days OR breaks, tears and corner breaks are $3ea. Traditional polish is not guarenteed.  
 
 
- REMEMBER -
Nails are jewles, NOT tools! Be kind to them, and they will look beautiful for weeks after your service. Wearing gloves while doing the dishes or gardening is highly recommended.
 
 
 
 
If you are unable to honor your scheduled appointment
please call me with a 24 HOUR notice!
 
 
 
 
- I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone -
  • Anyone w/ a nail condition I suspect may be contagious.
  • Anyone with open or infected wounds on the treatment area..
  • Anyone in poor health that I suspect may be contagious (colds/flu included), or may be further harmed by my services..
  • Anyone 15+ mins late.
  • Anyone rude, mean, or disrespectful...
